Boys Town is now taking applications for a Bilingual Consultant-School & Family Support Services (English/Spanish/Creole) in Palm Beach County Florida
Consultants provide intervention and preventative services to elementary age children and their families. Family consultants utilize a cognitive-behavioral, solution focused, and ecological model of intervention to help families adopt positive solutions to problems through the teaching of skills and behavioral techniques. In addition, intervention is provided to improve youth and family psychological functioning by using an accessible service delivery system that is flexible, culturally competent, and responsive to the family. Family intervention is done in the home and school settings.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in a social service related field preferred or Bachelor’s degree with 2 years experience in Human Services.
Bilingual in English & Spanish PREFERRED
Experience with home visits, and implementation of cognitive-behavioral, solution focused, and/or ecological models of intervention preferred.
Knowledge of local social service resources and school system a plus.
Must possess a valid driver's license, valid auto liability insurance with a good driving record, plus the ability to provide own transportation to complete travel requirements of job.
Full time position with flexible hours that may include nights and weekends, in order to be available at times that are convenient to families. 24/7 on-call duties during the week, with rotating weekends. Competitive pay. Drug testing/Health screening required, EOE.
